An Unconventional Story
I bought this because a friend of mine is in it - she's one of the audition participants and came in at #2 at the end. The story, while fact based, is interesting in the sense that what people often think of as "just another Las Vegas story" can have many sides to it. It does a good job of telling the behind the scenes story of what Las Vegas was like in the post-mob days as the bean counters were taking over the casino business. The characters (women) are a good cross section of those who try to get into the entertainment field. While I think my friend should have won (of course!) it is still a good story, and the 'scenery' is outstanding! I would recommend it to those interested in what it can take to get into the 'business'.
Oldie but goodie
I saw this a few decades ago and its still interesting to watch today. It gives an insight on the first annual strippers convention and all the competition from all over.

Yes, I just wanted to say what a wonderful movie I thought that it was very well done. I'm a person who believes that women should always feel good about themselves and have healthy body images. Nowadays, lots of females have body image issues. Perhaps, even myself a little, but I believe that women should always feel the very best about themselves and work with what they've got to achieve their maximum potential. I believe that the females in the movie basically exuded that they felt that they (and they alone) were truly lovable. That's how I tend to view myself, as well. I wouldn't (necessarily) do what they do (unless it was with someone special to me) and someone whom I would like to be in a monogamous relationship with. My Dad always said that when women have it, they should flaunt it. I believe that the messages made by those women were more exemplary of that fact Even though Dad didn't mean it (necessarily) to that extreme.
Thanks.
