Angels in America, Part 2 - Chapter 5

Beautiful
The most beautiful play of the modern theatrical era translated perfectly by Mike Nichols and featuring incredible performances. You can't go wrong buying this one.

Amazing Script!
This was and still is not only a great movie but a very relevant story for today. Watched it dozens of times and will again!

The story of us.
Not so very long ago, the world found itself afflicted with a horrendous plague, AIDS. While treatment has mitigated much of the death sentence here in the states, I am not so sure we have passed on from the insular days of peering at our neighbors as if they threaten our very being. At the time of this story, we had been at the end of the Red Scare of Communism destroying America, but even a casual perusal of its portrayal will tell us that the names are different but the paranoia remains. The characters engage us deeply, and the angel keeps me peering from the corner of my eyes hoping for another approach.
